At Summit Fresh Mobile Market, we believe food access is a fundamental right—not a privilege. Our Neighborhood Development efforts are built on the mission to bring fresh, affordable groceries directly to underserved areas, known as food deserts, where traditional grocery stores are few and far between.

What We Do

Every week, our mobile market makes scheduled stops in neighborhoods across Summit County and beyond, delivering a curated selection of fresh produce, dairy, proteins, and pantry staples. But we’re more than just a food truck—we’re a community-building initiative designed to:

• Improve food equity by increasing access to nutritious, affordable groceries

• Support local farmers and suppliers by sourcing regionally whenever possible

• Provide health education and resources through partnerships with local nonprofits and health departments

• Create safe, welcoming spaces for residents to shop, connect, and learn about healthy eating

Why It Matters

Food deserts disproportionately impact low-income neighborhoods, communities of color, seniors, and individuals without reliable transportation. These systemic barriers often lead to increased rates of chronic diseases and poor health outcomes.

Our goal is to bridge that gap—not only by bringing fresh food directly into neighborhoods, but by listening to what each community needs and adapting our services to match. Whether it’s setting up near community centers, schools, churches, or senior housing, we’re there—rain or shine.
